The development of new wireless communication scenarios such as the Internet of Things and Machine-To-Machine increases demands on communications network capacity. Unfortunately, the potential capabilities of Orthogonal Multiple Access (OMA) methods are almost exhausted in cellular communication technologies prior to 5G technology. To improve the quality of communication systems the use of Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) is proposed. In this paper, a study of Pattern Division Multiple Access (PDMA) methods on both uplink and downlink communication systems was conducted. A mathematical description of the PDMA system is given, as well as noise immunity results on the uplink and downlink.

This article presents explanation of the advantage of limiting the work of 5G base stations using mask of average equivalent isotropically radiated power (EIRP) compared to the total radiated power (TRP) limitation approach. Modeling and construction of the EIRP mask for 5G base stations in the frequency band 6425−7125 MHz were carried out, which allow to achieve the protection of fixed-satellite service systems with minimal restrictions for the operation of 5G networks.
