PM and AM noise of two types of RC-oscillators consisting of differential amplifier and common-collector stages, with different feedback circuits (inverting and non-inverting) are investigated using abbreviated equations method, developed by S.I.Evtjanov. The accurate and abbreviated symbolic equations of the RC-oscillators with internal sources of additive noise are derived. The steady-state operation equations are obtained and stability constraints are defined. The differential equations that define connection between internal noise currents and phase and amplitude fluctuations were derived. Simple formulae for these oscillators PM and AM noise calculation are obtained. Power spectral densities of PM and AM noise were calculated taking into consideration both thermal noise of feedback loop and all other sources of wideband noise. It is shown that contribution of the active devices noise is small enough to ignore it for approximate evaluation of PM noise. Results of these two oscillators PM and AM noise comparison are presented. These results can be used to solve the problem of RC oscillators circuits choice taking into consideration their noise properties.

Results of investigation of internal wideband noise influence on quadrature oscillator (QO) using single tank resonators in ring structure performance are presented. Simple formulae for power spectral densities (PSD) of phase and amplitude fluctuations are derived using slowly varying amplitude approach. In addition to these results the formulae for output oscillations phase difference and relative amplitude difference are derived. These PSD are necessary to estimate internal noise influence on the QO performance. An example of quantitative analysis of the phase and amplitude fluctuations in the particular QO model is presented.

DISTORTION COMPENSATION FOR QAM SIGNAL WITH ADDITIVE BACKGROUND NOISE

N.E. Poborchaya, National Research University «Moscow Power Engineering Institute», docent, Ph. D; n. poborchaya@mail.ru

The article analyzes the distortion compensation methods for QAM signal with additive background noise. Two distortion compensation algorithms (regularization and nonlinear filtering) were compared for different models of phase noise and observation noise. For both algorithms accuracy of observation and symbol error probability were estimated. Simulation shows that synthesized algorithms are resistant to the deviation of the noise distribution law from Gaussian. Regularization algorithm exceeds the nonlinear filtering for estimation accuracy of the unknown signal parameters and gives 5−6 dB energy efficiency gain for information symbols detection. Simulation was performed on a test sequence of length m=500.

THE ADAPTIVE OPTIMUM INTELLECTUAL MODEM FOR DIGITAL TELEPHONY SYSTEM

V.G. Sannikov, National Research University «Moscow Power Engineering Institute», professor, Ph. D; tes_mtuci@mail.ru

On the basis of mathematical model of a low-frequency equivalent of a telephone channel of connection problems of synthesis and the analysis of the optimum coherent modem in system of a digital telephony are investigated. Finite signals in a time of the transmitting modem, optimum by criterion of a maximization of a signal/noise ratio on an entry of the receiving modem, not calling an intersymbol interference are synthesised by consecutive transmission of the discrete messages. In the conditions of a nonstationary communication channel and the correlated noise of supervisions on the basis of minimization of empirical risk in the form of Tikhonov‘s functional, the problem of an optimum recurrent estimation of a frequency limit of the channel, used is solved at synthesis of optimum signals in the transmitting modem and synthesis of the matched filter in the receiving modem. Rated and experimental dependences of a lapse of an estimation on a signal/noise ratio and a sample size of casual supervisions are resulted. Outcomes of work can be used at designing of modern adaptive intellectual modems with the boosted effectiveness.
